Hilton Head Island celebrates the new year with a Polar Bear Plunge at 11 am, after a 9:30 beach workout. Come join the fun of celebrating the new year in South Carolina’s frigid waters.

The Famous Polar Bear Plunge is Hilton Head’s most Coolest Tradition. Be part of our local annual tradition of running into the ocean on New Year’s Day. The PPPP Initiative Warm-up class starts at 9:30 am, with Phil Mullins and Alyssa Petro, followed by shirts and raffle prizes at 10:15 am, the Costume Competition at 10:45 am, and the “All for One” run into the water at 11:00 am, with all proceeds going to Charli’s Critter Foundation. Be part of this great island tradition and bring in the new year with your friends and family on Coligny Beach.
