There are multiple ways to get to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, including by car, plane, or ride-share:
- By car Take I-95 to Exit 8 (Hardeeville) and follow Highway 278 East. The drive from the exit to the island takes about 30 minutes. After crossing the bridges over the Intracoastal Waterway, you can merge left onto Cross Island Parkway to go to the south end of the island, or keep right on Highway 278 Business / William Hilton Parkway to go elsewhere.
- By plane Fly directly into Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) or Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), the latter which is about 45 minutes southwest. When you arrive at the airport, you can arrange for a rental car or taxi.
- By ride-share Use a ride-share app like Uber to get from Savannah to Hilton Head. The trip typically takes about 45 minutes and costs between $65–$100.
