Books for all ages

We’re proud to stock a variety of books that celebrate Gullah and Lowcountry Culture. These make great gifts, souvenirs, and coffee table accessories. We love the beautiful imagery, artwork, and stories told in these titles. They are also carrying a selection of children’s books that celebrate equity, diversity, and inclusion, giving more children an opportunity to see people who look like them in books. We have some great new children’s books in store.

Bath & Body

Offering tinctures, lotions, bath bombs, soap, and lip gloss all from local makers, Binya has a fun selection of women-owned, minority owned makers of bath and body products, including a 13-year old native Islander.

Bags & Fashion Accessories

From the New York runways to Hilton Head beaches, woven straw bags are a huge trend right now.  Shop their collection of independent artists and designers at Binya and find styles you love. These bags come in a variety of sizes, shapes, and motifs.  They also have a selection of scarves and other fashion accessories like headbands.

Traditional Sweetgrass Baskets

Sweetgrass baskets are a Gullah tradition dating back to the 1600’s. Born out of necessity to carry crops, these baskets have evolved into a true art form that is passed down from generation to generation.  Find their impressive selection of Sweetgrass baskets at Binya. Baskets make beautiful decorations and accessories in living rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, entryways & more.

Jewelry

They have an impressive selection of jewelry that is locally made by artisans and even some jewelry from Ghana and Africa. They also have jewelry made from sweetgrass from local, Gullah artisans.

Home Decor & Accessories

File these under the category of “more” and “other”, accessories are all the other things that they are so proud to find and offer. Lola feels lucky to scour the Lowcountry’s makers and bring these wonderful things to shoppers at Binya Hilton Head.
