We love the beautiful imagery, artwork, and stories told in these titles. They are also carrying a selection of children’s books that celebrate equity, diversity, and inclusion, giving more children an opportunity to see people who look like them in books. Sweetgrass baskets are a Gullah tradition dating back to the 1600’s. Born out of necessity to carry crops, these baskets have evolved into a true art form that is passed down from generation to generation. Binya Hilton Head founder, Lola Campbell, started her own line of clothing and lifestyle accessories in 2019, which is prominently featured in the store. You’ll also find other designers’ clothing and lifestyle lines here – all celebrating the Lowcountry. T-shirts, baby onesies, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, hats, and more are all here at Binya Hilton Head!
Jewelry
They have an impressive selection of jewelry that is locally made by artisans and even some jewelry from Ghana and Africa. They also have jewelry made from sweetgrass from local, Gullah artisans.
