The Island Recreation Center is a comprehensive facility serving all age groups through various program offerings. Located on 20 Wilborn Road on the north end of Hilton Head Island, the facility includes a double gymnasium, walking track, wellness area, outdoor pool, basketball courts, playgrounds, rock climbing wall, and community rooms. It is adjacent to Hilton Head Island High School and situated near the island’s elementary and middle schools, allowing easy access for youth.

While the town of Hilton Head covers 35% of the budget for the Rec Center, the remainder is recouped from memberships and programs. The Rec Center also manages many of the Town’s parks.
