In this video, taken on a Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on July 25th, this momma loggerhead, weighing up to 400 lbs, makes the laborious crawl back to the ocean. This happens usually under the cover of night, so to see the sunrise is rather unusual. She pauses a few times to gather strength.
