The Sea Shack is Hilton Head Island’s best hidden seafood secret. The locals favorite spot for the freshest seafood and down-home southern, low-country style cooking in town.
During peak summer months, arriving upon dinner time, you can probably expect a line waiting at least a half hour before opening time at 5:00 PM. Other times of the year, there may be a small line, but wait time is rather quick (15-30 mins tops). You stand in line to place your order. Menus are set out front so you can get an idea, but check the catch of the day Blackboard Specials, which change daily and are a tasty seafood delight.
Hilton Head Island’s best seafood secret was uncovered when Rachael Ray came to Hilton Head Island and put the Sea Shack on her $40 per Day television show. Since then we have been featured on many lists and articles. Our Oyster Po Boy was featured in Only in Your State’s list of 9 sandwiches to try before you die as well as being given the title of “Beast of the State Seafood” by O Magazine.
