Considering Beach parking on Hilton Head is no longer free, except for Coligny Beach Parking, residents should consider getting a parking permit from the Town of Hilton Head Island.

About the Beach Parking Permit

  • The beach parking permit is valid from January 1 through December 31 at designated Town beach parking lots and spaces.
  • The permit allows parking at the 127 beach spaces at Islander’s Beach Park and the 27 at Driessen Beach Park.
  • Vehicles with a valid permit are not required to pay for metered parking at any of the Town’s public beach access parking lots.
  • Beach parking permits are limited to two vehicles per address.
  • The beach parking permits are digital.
  • Beach parking permits are not available for non-residents.
