The Drifter is a 60-foot-long party fishing boat that has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years. The finest electronics for safety, navigation, and fish finding have been installed to make your trips pleasant and safe. Everything needed for fishing is provided, including a rod and reel, bait, instruction, and a fishing license. The Drifter is located at Palmetto Bay Marina on the south end of Hilton Head. Palmetto Bay Marina is conveniently located off Palmetto Bay Road with ample parking and no gate fee.
Deep Sea Fishing
First-time anglers and experienced fishermen can catch Black Sea Bass, Whiting, Bluefish, Weakfish, and occasionally shark and Spanish Mackerel. You will fish at an artificial reef 5 miles offshore of Hilton Head—an excellent time for the whole family.
Shark Fishing
This trip will appeal to those not wanting to go offshore fishing. Traveling time to the shark fishing grounds is only 30 minutes. The sharks that can be caught include black tip, dusky, hammerhead, lemon, sharp-nose, bonnethead, and bull sharks. The number of passengers on this trip will be limited. Be sure to specify ‘shark fishing’ when you make your reservation.
The Crew
Our friendly, courteous, experienced crew offers personalized service to novice or expert fishermen. They will be glad to assist you in baiting your hook and boating your catch. The U.S. Coast Guard licenses the captain.
